The World Federation of Associations of Pediatric Surgeons (WOFAPS)

World Congress 2016 is looking to be the premier congregation of the latest pediatric surgical research and technologies and the nest pediatric surgeons from around the world. In fact, we are expecting over 1,500 top experts in pediatric surgery, research, and surgical device development at this year’s meeting.

Not only will this be the rst year the meeting will be held in the United States, but also it will be the rst time it is hosted by a children’s hospital, the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation at Children’s National Health System. We are one of the top 10 pediatric institutions in the country, as stated by U.S. News and World Report, among the top government-funded pediatric institutions, and are committed to advocating for all children both at home and abroad. Our location in the nation’s capital puts the World Congress in the center of the U.S. government, biotechnology, medical, and research organizations, promising to make the meeting an excellent hub for networking and partnership.

Along with hosting WOFAPS, I’m pleased to continue the Sheikh Zayed Institute tradition of hosting the 4th Pediatric Surgical Innovation Symposium immediately following the meeting so that guests have the opportunity to attend both meetings. We will be bringing experts in industry, government, top-tier research universities, healthcare institutions and venture capitalists to improve the state of pediatric surgical and device innovation and the regulatory clearance and approval process leading to commercialization.

In order to make WOFAPS World Congress 2016 a success, we want to ensure that we are featuring organizations, like yours, that are working diligently to improve every aspect of pediatric surgery, research, and device development. Included in this packet you will nd options for how to get involved in the World Congress. I hope you will be able to join us.
